The number one step that you have to take to monetize your content is to take care of the quality of the content that you share. This means varying the topics starting from destinations, travel tips, and services offered in tourism locations.

This requires a lot of articles and media. However, writing articles is not just a matter of writing, it's a matter of keyword researching that you have to do before you create the article.

Eyes Fixed on SEO!

SEO means search engine optimization which is the word you have to pay attention to. Doing that means looking for keywords that are searched by the audience and providing valuable information in your articles while including these words on purpose. However, keywords are not only used in texts. They are also used in the description of the media that is provided or the visual aids that you have alongside your articles.

Finding Keywords!

How to find the keywords? That is simple but not fast. Go to Google for example and type the common keyword related to the information you want to provide. Let’s say you are writing an article about tourism in the winter, so you will type “winter tourism” in the search box of Google which will immediately give suggestions such as “Winter tourism in Dubai!” and “Winter tourism activities”.

Another place you can find keywords is the suggested titles you get when you scroll down your Google search. If you are looking something up on YouTube, then you will have the same technique since YouTube gives also more suggestions while typing in the search box.

Other Tools

There are other important tools you can use to get your keywords. The one that proved to be very useful is a website called “Semrush”. Although it can be over a $100 monthly subscription, it provides the strongest insights and detailed keyword research.

Another tool is Google Trends, a free tool that shows the volume of searches of a certain word in certain locations. It also provides suggested topics and keywords.

Keep in mind that keywords are not only one type. There are the normal and highly searched keywords such as the word “tourism” in the previous example and long-tail keywords that are highly important because they are specifically searched by the audience when looking for a particular topic or solution. For example, a long-tail keyword of “tourism” could be “winter tourism in Dubai for families”.
